Membership
Since its establishment in 1930, the Ryde-Parramatta Golf Club has retained key traditions and character whilst embracing change to remain contemporary.
Ryde-Parramatta offers a challenging Ross Watson designed golf course and a magnificent clubhouse nestled midway between the City and Parramatta.
The picturesque course, which regularly plays host to State championship events, was designed by acclaimed Top 100 course architect Ross Watson and will test any level of golfer. Whilst Ryde-Parramatta has a proud history
and offers excellent facilities, it is the sense of community within the membership which makes it the golf club of choice for many from the Inner-West through to areas surrounding the course proper.

The Course
Unlike many leading golf clubs in Sydney which operate on lease-hold land, the members of Ryde-Parramatta own the land and property which house the facilities.
The fairways are surfaced with manicured Kikuyu and with the relatively level topography, make an enjoyable walking course. Greens are surfaced with a combination of Bentgrass and Poa Annua.
Archer Creek meanders its way through the course and comes into play on 14 holes (maybe more if you stray to the wrong fairway!). The creek whilst a key part of the course design also maintains our significant water supply, via multiple on-site dams. This storage capacity combined with a modern irrigation system, provides the ability to maximise turf condition whilst responsibly managing this precious resource.
The Par 71 course measures 6,040 metres from the back tees and Ryde-Parramatta has the luxury of a spare hole which reduces member inconvenience when course work is necessary.
Golfing
Playing membership is maintained at a conservative level to ensure all members have ample opportunity to play on the course and the Board are conscious of making the course accessible and not over subscribing membership.
Our practice fairway offers turf and synthetic teeing areas whilst a large designated practice chipping green, putting green and practice bunkers are also available to fine-tune your short game.
Members enjoy reciprocal playing rights
at several leading courses throughout Australia and mutual time swap agreements also provide limited access to some of Sydney’s leading golf courses.
Our highly qualified and experienced Professional staff offer private tuition. A wide range of equipment and apparel is stocked in the members-owned golf shop
and the Professional is an authorised club fitter for several leading brands. Subject to available space and a fee, members may also store their clubs in the Golf Shop.
