The RPGC course is known for being a challenging one, but our members know that practice is the key! Last Saturday Gerard Dreyer, Warren Everest, Boris Stcherbina and Paul Stephenson stepped onto the 17th tee ready to take on our signature par 3. What happened next can only be described as a moment of brilliance. 1st to tee off was Warren with a great shot 130cm from the pin, next tee shot was struck by Boris who finished just 90cm from the pin. Gerard was the 3rd player to tee off with his shot dancing around the hole finishing just 13cm form the pin. By this stage players walking from the 10th to the 11th tee were enjoying the shot making and the last player of the group Paul Stephenson was under some pressure to maintain the high standard. Paul didn’t let the group down hitting a beautiful shot just 6 feet from the hole. As you can see from the picture 4 sensational shots from 4 great members. Well done! Ryde-Parramatta Golf Club members are competing at the NSW Amateur Championship starting Tuesday January 30th! ⛳️ 🏌️‍♂️ Matthew Dane will be representing Ryde-Parramatta in the NSW Champion of Champions which is being contested across 36 holes of stroke play on Tuesday 30th and Wednesday 31st incorporated into the same event. This is an event contested by Club Champions of golf clubs across NSW of the previous year. Former Ryde-Parramatta member Todd Ostler won this event in 1993. Those finishing in the top 32 at the end of two rounds of stroke will then go into rounds of matchplay across Thursday and Friday until there’s a winner.
